Some look forward to the DJ Mag top 100 DJs list to decide the best DJs of the world, while some wait for this time of the year when BBC Raddio 1’s Essential Mix of the year is chosen.
Pete Tong and a panel of well acclaimed judges including legends like Eric Prydz and Danny Howard announced the best Essential Mix of the year to be Caribou’s! The DJ performed the mix for the show back in October and delivered a set of tunes so wonderful, that it didn’t come as a surprise for him to win this award. From assortment of old classics to handpicked underground tunes, this mix was nothing less than a delight for the listeners.
