Daft Punk continues to make waves despite its low-profile through the year. From helmets to action figures, this duo is as famous with its merchandise as its music. Word is out that Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo and Thomas Bangalter may soon have their own lego figurines, as per a campaign garnering attention fast. The Lego Ideas page has over 6000 supporters and seems like Daft Punk has completely permeated our culture and is soon to find its way to our bedroom floor! The suggestion includes miniature “instruments (as pictured, maybe turntables, sequencers, mixers, controllers and a guitar for robot rocking), a simple stage with simple lighting and speakers. Having the Robot Helmets and some new printed tiles with instruments would open the door to all the custom options. Fan’s could build their Daft Punk set into larger creations, like one’s own Lego City” along with
– “Tron” themed creations.
– ALIVE 2007 stage.
– Classic music videos like “Around The World” and “Robot Rock.”
– “Electroma” inspired sets, like the duo’s Ferrari.
– “Interstella 5555.”
Here’s what Lego Official had to say:
Over 5,000 supporters have shown that when it comes to this project, they want to buy it, use it, and build it! These robot Minifigures and their turntable could drop some serious jams around the LEGO world. Keep posting new updates and engaging with your supporters as your project grows!
Good luck as you grove toward 10,000 supporters, and don’t stop dancing!
Lego+ Daft Punk? This sounds no less than heaven to us! Well, if you’d like to see your favourite duo in toystores, support the project here!
