Counting days until that magical time of the year where every one comes together to celebrate in unison and spread joy? Yeah well, Christmas might be just around the corner for that but we’re talking about the favourite music festival of every Indian raver, Sunburn Goa y’all! The good folks at Sunburn have put in their heart and soul into unleashing a lineup that would leave any electronic music lover smiling ear to ear.
From eminent acts to underground riders, Sunburn has lots in store for its attendees this year. If you find the process of picking out acts to attend from a list of over 120 names a little overwhelming, we at Bangin Beats are here to your rescue! We’ve picked out 10 international artists you should definitely add to your “Must attend at Sunburn Goa’14” list.
1. Damian Lazarus– The DJ’s mission has always been to to ‘blow away the mediocre, the over-inflated, the obsolete; to seek out and celebrate the energetic, the important, the new.’ Make sure you attend his set at the Space Station stage and help him accomplish his mission!
3. Sasha– The hero of house, the legend who stood through the changing of the industry, producing marvelous works from Acid to progressive, Sasha is a name you must circle with a star in your Sunburn Goa itinerary. Head over to the Space Station stage again and experience the Euphoria that comes along with his music.
4. MAKJ– the DJ who is known to make magic with the turntables, will be playing at the Dance Temple Stage. MAKJ has had an explosive rise to fame with his brilliant music curating expertise and sounds that get you hooked. Don’t miss out on the chance to hear him live!
5. Oliver Dollar– Remember the track ‘Pushing On’ that you just couldn’t get out of your head because it was just that good? Well, this german DJ/Producer was the guy behind unleashing the viral track along with Jimi Jules. Having many more groundbreaking productions and remixes to his name, his set is definitely going to be gold. You’ll find him at the Cubezoid stage.
6. Sub Focus– We know you’ll be craving a little Dubstep while you’re raving your heart out on the golden sands. To quench your thirst for the ‘wub wub’ you must head back to the Cubezoid stage and attend Sub Focus’ set. The DJ dishes out a melange of melodic electro house and dubstep to produce a vibe so heavenly, you get dreams about it.
7. Baauer– The genius took over the world with his track ‘Harlem Shake‘ and didn’t stop right there. Belting out tracks laden with delicious bass, the DJ’s music doesn’t just restrict to trap or grime but blurs the lines between genres. One thing is for sure though, if you’re in the mood to dance till you drop, you head to the Cubezoid stage and catch his set!
8. Francesca Lombardo– An accomplished pianist and a classically trained music wiz, Lombardo loves her music machines and produces colorful tunes that leave you with fuzzy, happy feelings. You can catch her throw some beautifully melodic house tunes at the space station stage!
9. Klingande– This french deep house producer incorporates piano and saxophone melodies into his tracks to create music that sounds like an offering for the angels. Listen to him live at the Dance Temple stage to believe it for yourself. Trust us, you won’t be disappointed.
10. Deniz Koyu– This Turkish DJ knows how to play with sounds which makes his sets all the more adventurous, apart from the captivating progressive and electro house tracks that he’s known to scoop. Remember to find him at the Dance Temple stage!
