We’ve been hearing this track for a while now in Seven Lions’ live sets, and finally it gets to see the light of day. The Fall is his collaborative effort with dubstep wonder Xilent.
The track itself is a beautiful love child of the two geniuses, embodying both of their best musical qualities. The track starts off with subtle beat work and driving sub-bass, with glitch samples thrown in. It then breaks down to a gorgeous ethereal atmospheric melody, as the synth hook kicks in. It then builds up to a massive electro drop, and intense, pumping glitch riddled dubstep, which is very clearly Xilent’s forte. A stupendous concoction of glitchstep, dubstep, trance and electro, this track is bound to appeal to fans across a multitude of genres.
The track is as gorgeous as it is intense, a style that both Jeff (Seven Lions) and Eryk (Xilent) are all too familiar with, even though they each have their own unique way of going about it. This track is a perfect amalgamation of what two technically sound, brilliant producers can do together in a studio.
