Nationally networked Australian radio show Triple J first premiered the genius that is ZHU with his laid back vibe and anonymity. And as a tribute to the radio that brought Faded to our attention, ZHU gives them another track to get us to love. His cover for Scottish synth-pop band Chvrches‘s Gun is the perfect anthem for your lazy weekend. Petty synths and eccentric but sweet melodies blend and create a track to serve as your favourite track to prep for the weekend to. Creating a blurry rendition of the original vocals and perfectly welding them to his new, mildly digressing tune for Chvrches, ZHU has created yet another masterpiece that’s going to make it to every Weekend playlist. While toning down the original track a notch, he maintains the naïveté of the vocals and throws in some guitar riffs and tambourine rhythm that instantly mellows down and renders the track more appealing to those too fearful of pop.
