All you gaming fans who love their dance music, there’s some good news for you. BBC Radio DJ Rob Da Bank has been confirmed to curate the soundtrack for Microsoft’s Forza Horizon 2. The DJ will be curating the soundtrack for the 7 major radio stations available in the game, which also includes Horizon Pulse and Hospital Records Radio, which will feature “all the biggest dancefloor anthems of the year all night long“, featuring genres ranging from house to techno and electro, and all of the top drum & bass artists on the Hospital Records‘ roster respectively.
Two radio stations dedicated entirely to dance music further proves the foray the genre has been making into the world of gaming. Forza Horizon 2‘s predecessor Forza Horizon also featured dance music in the form of dubstep and drum & bass, and featured artists such as Chase & Status, Avicii, Benny Benassi amongst others. Other games which have included dance music in their soundtracks are Need For Speed: Rivals which featured artists such as Knife Party, Madeon, Flux Pavillion, The Bloody Beetroots to name a few. EA Sports‘ FIFA franchise has always known to feature electronic music for its soundtracks, ranging from Deadmau5, Madeon, Disclosure to various other producers.
