Porter Robinson’s latest music video that has us on an odyssey through cities, forests and the countryside. What are we looking for you wonder? This must-watch is a psychedelic journey and has us chanting ‘Watashi ha choudo naniga juuyou ka’ or in lay man’s language ‘I am looking for what is important at this very moment.’ Carpe Diem baby! With visuals that occasionally mimic the effects of an 8 bit video game, this has us imagining what we did back when we were children on a train journey. Making an ordinary journey exciting by visualizing colourful rain, growing flowers and expanding buildings has us appreciate Robinson and understand that every metaphorical journey is only complete and fulfilled if it’s been fun and exciting getting to the destination. Moreover the video has us envisage the music and rhythm visually and by the end of the track, we are left satisfied and cleansed. The only thing missing from this Japanese trip? The bass drop from the track upload, Pokemon and Son Goku.
Watch the brilliant, fascinating work of art!
