Despite adverse health conditions,Tim Bergling, aka Avicii still seems to be basking in the glory of True’s success. Though it’s been a year since news of True first broke out, the entire dance music fraternity still remembers being wowed by the roster of artists involved in the project, including Aloe Blacc, Adam Lambert and Imagine Dragons’ Dan Reynolds.
Well, news is, his second album, according to Rolling Stone is apparently going to push the envelop even further. Avicii was even quoted as saying his new album will be even more “song oriented” than the last. The artists he’s collaborating with are a surprising bunch of personalities, given their complete lack of relations with any electronic oriented genre.
Avicii in a recent interview with Rolling Stone mentioned that he’s working on around 70 tracks for the album out of which a dozen would be shortlisted. If any of the collaborations Avicii has planned, do actually make it we’d be looking at a star studded list of contributing artists, including System Of A Down’s Serj Tankian, Coldplay’s Chris Martin, Greenday’s Billie Joe Armstrong and a few more.
“Collaborators this time include Jon Bon Jovi, Serj Tankian of System of a Down and Chris Martin of Coldplay. There’s a song with Billie Joe Armstrong called “No Pleasing a Woman,” and a reggae duet between Wyclef Jean and Matisyahu.”
The new album, currently unnamed, will most likely hit the stores later this year. One can’t help but wonder how the new album would perform and whether it will actually outdo True’s immense commercial success. Well whatever Tim’s got in store, we can’t wait to find out!
