Watch This: CBS Misinterprets ‘EDM’ as ‘Molly’

We all know about the bad vibes that have been floating around dance music for ages. With the growth of electronic dance music and an explosion of new comers, veteran producers receiving enough attention to usher in a new era of music, it comes as little surprise when certain aspects like drugs and overdosing is associated with these acts.

After the debacle of raver and music lovers hospitalized at an Avicii gig in Boston, CBS Boston decided to investigate further and produce an elaborate report on electronic dance music and showcase their expertise in that aspect. In the process they had uploaded a video on Youtube which spoke about tighter security at clubs and many more important information. They also made one unthinkable error and equated EDM to drugs. Christina Hager, the reporter who published the report was quoted saying  “EDM” as a street name for “Molly”.
