There is a new rage in the UK underground and his name is Weiss. Known for embracing House music rich and soulful heritage into his productions, the stellar producer is known for conjuring one smash hit after another. Following up on his Beatport and radio smash hit ‘My Sister’, Weiss returns to the alluring Toolroom Records for the third installment of his iconic ‘Weiss City‘ EP Series. Support from the likes of Groove Armada, Loco Dice, Marco Carola, Richie Hawtin, B-Traits and many more, Weiss is aiming for nothing less than the top, and given his sheer talent and wizardry in the studio – we’d expect nothing less! The third installment comprises of three new unique sounds and is slated for a release on 23rd June on Beatport and 21st July on iTunes & other download stores.

‘Weiss City Vol 3’ kicks off with the irrepressible and upbeat ‘I Feel Better’, which delivers a pulverizing deep house sound that grips and rattles your dancefloor presence like how soulful house music was designed to be. Teasing vocals are interspaced with chugging synth progressions with a driving bassline at their heels. Definitely one for the keeping!
Deep and highly addictive with its classic 303, ‘I Can’t Stop’ is set to be an underground favorite, as it gathers with it all that’s sacrosanct with a classic House melody. A sureshot remedy for any dancefloor jitters, the track holds a self-sustaining energy riff through its magnetic bassline fused with the drumloop. Vocal stabs do well to add a sense of wonder and turn the track into a kind of robotic neo-future vision of what House music would look like post the Skynet invasion!
The final chapter on the magical EP, ‘Alright With Me’ is a heavy and stripped back raw cut of a stylish vision of underground House. It begins with slicing waveforms before a vocal loop of “…drop it!” calls upon a clean percussion break to be introduced. With warm effervescent synth progressions assisting the sharp percussion, the combo is retrofitted with more vocal loops and FX before a funky upbeat melody eases into the assembly, marking this as yet another visionary take by the talented producer.
