Through his exceptionally remarkable sets at ASOT 650 stages lately, he not only received intensified respect from Armin van Buuren (calling him ‘Legend’ time to time) but a lot of gratitude from fans as well. Putting ‘Psy’ element with his music and crafting something signature out of it, is what makes Simon stand apart. His techno infused trance sets are extremely widespread for taking fans on a journey. Well, that’s why he is better known as ‘PsyMon’.
But the British trance DJ also does things a different, hence you know what to expect when you see Simon on Armind Recordings. A home for angelic anthemetic trance numbers, Armind has released a few of Simon’s tracks before too and here we are with another vocal track entitled, ‘Dissolve’. An absolute dance-floor monster done in collaboration with Sarah Howells, it can be called as an idle sequel to Simon’s previous-year hit single ‘The One’.
‘Dissolve’ is an interesting mixture of neo psy trance with tech and uplifting vocal trance in one explosive package with a few clever twists and surprising turns along the way. Simon incredibly merges the two sub styles of trance i.e. uplifting and big room that were somewhat considered very diverse and impossible to play in a DJ set. Vocalist Sarah Howell’s immaculate vocals lend a touch of ethereal beauty and grace to the record evidencing his mission accomplished.
