Chicago based producers, Autograf, have made quite a presence for themselves on the electronic music scene. Their unique sound and brilliant production technique that they identify as Future House is a breath of fresh air for critics and fans alike.

They’ve recently launched their #FutureSummer series with their remix of Pharell & Daft Punk’s Gust Of Wind, where in they would remix one track every month for the summer and give it away for free.

This particular remix oozes summer funk right from the get-go. Starting off with subtle, melodic synth work, the track kicks in with a chopped vocal samples from the original. The beat work slowly and gradually builds up as a modulated sample of Pharells vocals works towards a soulful build up.  Right after, the track takes a groovier turn as a crunchy glitchy synth sub bass kicks in complementing the vocals, oh so perfectly. What’s particularly ear-grabbing is how they’ve modulated the original vocals to blend in as a hook with the various elements that make this song as funky as it is.

This production radiates warm, summery vibes and is a perfect way to kick start their #FutureSummer series. Here’s what Autograf had to say about their newest initiative,

“With the hot sunny days upon us, we decided to start the Future Summer remix series. For every month this summer, we’ll be taking a song we’re really feeling at the moment and giving it our Future House summer-inspired remix treatment.. you know, that festival vibe tent, those poolside jams, that warm summer club night. And we’ll be giving them all away for free as a thank you to our fans for supporting this new project of ours. For our first remix in the series, we couldn’t have thought of a better song to do than Pharrell’s collaboration with one of our all-time heroes, Daft Punk.”
