India has reveled in the past few years with the biggest names in Big Room & Underground Electronica having made their way onto our shores. And now, come 11th of April, we will see the launch of India’s newest and sexiest dance music property, K!NK, as India prepares to widen its horizons on club culture.
Bringing in Dutch based duo TV Noise for their debut tour to India for a special 3 city tour, K!NK promises other additional features as part of a conventional K!NK night – some which promise to be ‘naughty’ while some which promise to be downright awesome!
K!NK will foray into an all new uncharted territory, where futuristic dance music will find a mergence with space and architecture, to create a alternate ambiance and environment for a unique musical experience. The seed for this idea came to Prateek Pandey, on his annual visit to the prestigious Amsterdam Dance Event. While luxurious canal houses and charming gabled facades adorning the streets of the famous Red Light District, its combination with the striking and vivid colors and mood lighting created a lasted impression on him. It was then that the idea struck him, of recreating that Architectural experience in an intimate setting like a club.

While on an ordinary night, the attention perhaps primarily lies on the performing artist and the ambiance he/she sets up through their music, a K!NK night will look to digress that attention, and curate an overall visual experience besides the headlining artists. Not planning to incorporate any regular stage features such as CO2 guns or LED lights being showered onto the audience members, K!NK will use alternate elements such as mood lighting, drapes, candles, curtains and many more features alongwith additional leather-clad dancers, to construct a more seductive atmosphere, to stray the notion of a conventional clubbing experience.
While K!NK promises that the experience will not be something overtly sexual nor does it look to stir any hedonistic urges among audience members, instead, it would simply be best described as a ‘naughty and fun’ night!

Musically, K!NK is not looking to bring in any Big Room nor Underground acts for its experiential nights. Instead, it focuses on Futuristic electronica. Stressing on the monotony of the sound that can be found in acts nowadays, K!NK nights will break away from the norm by going either halfway or completely tangent to bring in something fresh and new for its audiences.

One thing that a K!NK night will invariably stress on, is the mood lighting that it will incorporate. Describing it as one of the most striking features in his Amsterdam experience, the warm red color is something we’re sure to see at a K!NK night.
Furthermore, the usual club lights will be as much as non-existent, as moods will be curated by the apparel, through lamps, colors behind curtains and other never before seen features. Promising a different Spatial experience everytime, the K!NK nights will evolve organically as they will continually add and vary elements for their gigs in the future.

Perhaps one of the most innovative approaches we’ve seen on the Indian clubbing circuit in recent times, one cannot dismiss the intrigue that’s created by the description of a K!NK night. We look forward to their exciting launch party on April 11th at Club Royalty, where Netherlands based DJ Duo TV Noise will add their sonic elements to the effervescent ambiance that is K!NK!
