We’re all waiting for Plus 91‘s ambitious project Holi Reloaded 2014 to kick off on Monday, as the most colorful party returns this year at JVPD Grounds, Mumbai. The festival, which promises to be the grandest EDM Holi party of the season, will bring in heavyweights Flippers & Mark Sixma amongst others, to add their own dramatic shades from the music spectrum as we will explore the color wheel!
Israeli duo Aviv Shriki & Leon Gossler aka Flippers hail from a musical fraternity that defines Progressive House like no other. Their unique blend of House with ethnic sounds have earned them a hot seat amongst industry pundits.
Having released tracks on the most prestigious of labels in the guise of Ultra Records, Flamingo, Tribal Vision, Diffused, Fatali Music, Recovery House among many more, they picked up steam once they began to perform live at exclusive events as well as Festivals around the world. Supported by the biggest artists such as David Guetta, Tiesto, Hardwell and many more, their tracks and sets are met with much fervor and enthusiasm by participating crowds wherever they go. Dutch Artists have a temperament to wreak havoc on the dancefloor, and Dutchman Mark Sixma wasn’t to be the one to break the lineage! Raised in Breda, hometown of Tiesto & Hardwell, one can trace back his roots for Trance music. However, Mark’s unique ability to blend his classical piano training with his uplifting synths and melodies makes him one of the brightest and boldest Trance producers today.
Having worked his way up from playing at local clubs to having his track ‘Destination 6’ picked up as “Tune of the Week” on Armin van Buuren’s legendary radioshow ‘A State Of Trance’ put Mark on the map. Going under the alias of M6 during the time, his follow up ‘Fade 2 Black’ saw him as a permanent fixture on the radio show, before he was finally signed up by Armada.
Having his tracks released on giant labels such as Armada, Blackhole Recordings and Fektive he has found frequent support through the likes of Tiesto, Ferry Corsten, Armin van Buuren, Paul van Dyk, Judge Jules, Gareth Emery, Markus Schulz, and many many more. His more recent works such as ‘Rio‘ with Klass Goulart, ‘Requiem‘ and remix for Cosmic Gate‘s ‘Crushed‘ has seen him get enormous playtime on every Trance DJ set all around the world!
When he’s not producing music or tirelessly touring, he’s hosting his monthly radio show ‘Sixmania Sessions’ to a giant worldwide audience that sees him play some of the finest tracks from the Trance underbelly. Check out some of Mark Sixma‘s stunning productions below!
