Leeds based Daley Padley aka Hot Since 82, created a furore amongst deep house aficionados last year with the release of his highly anticipated album ‘Little Black Book‘. Released on Jaymo and Andy George‘s adored Moda Black, the album struck sonic gold with its high quality productions and became an instant favourite amongst fans and DJ’s alike. With each track on the album telling a story of a different kind, the final note on the album aptly titled ‘The End‘ has now been picked up 20 year old red-hot Canadian DJ & producer Richie G and is slated for a release on March 3rd via Moda Black.
Featuring a melodic collaboration between Hot Since 82, Italian legend Joe T Vannelli and Csilla, Richie G’s inclusion only amplifies the immense quality of the stellar production. Dubbed as “Montreal’s Boy Wonder” by DMC World Magazine, Richie himself comes off a hot streak including remix releases for industry mainstays in the likes of Hernan Cattaneo and Guy Gerber besides putting out a hard-hitting debut three-track EP on Techno queen Nicole Moudaber’s Mood Records. The remix begins with a comforting percussive drum loop around some euphoric and melodic pads and atmospherics. Around the quarter mark, the emotional synth groove returns but with additional vocal samples circling around it to add that subtle touch of surrealism to the track. All the bliss and harmony transitions into an intense breakdown which marks the return of the percussion loop along with some high quality synth work to make this one of the finest tech house interpretations we’ve laid ears upon!
