In what may be extremely unfortunate news, reports have suggested that there might just be a possibility that one of the most beloved dance music festivals in the world, Tomorrowland, shall have its second weekend slated to take place this year cancelled, due to complaints from surrounding residents.
The residents have from what is known, petitioned against the second weekend and the matter has been taken to court to settle. Not only are they said to be attempting to shorten the festival, but are also inquiring to have the first weekend toned down. Now, we do get their point of view, but turning it down for what?
The grandiose festival has worked with the residents before, as well as gave them tours of the festival grounds and free tickets, yet it seems that certain people are not satisfied. The reason this should be looked at very seriously is because this problem has cropped up before for other festivals, however this one in particular has a hole to climb out of.
According to the prosecuting lawyer, Tomorrowland does not have the necessary permits to conduct the event, which could pose serious issues when the matter is taken to task. The good news though is that, there’ll not be a follow-up consultation between the parties on that issue.
All said & done, we hope the issues at hand get resolved soon and we along with hordes of fans get to experience the festival in all it’s glory.
