In an age when social media makes every aspect of your life open to review and judgement by others, UK based Dubstep, UK garage, 2-step garage & trip hop artist Burial has always been relatively under the radar. While any pictures of the artist over the internet have been frustratingly rare, the Twitter handle of the artist also shows an unclear photo of himself. Infact, for a good time and thanks to a joke by James Blake on Radio One, industry dwellers have wondered if Burial is actually Four Tet or Thom Yorke! However it has been confirmed now that Burial is indeed William Emmanuel Bevan.
William has posted a heartful message on Hyberdub, where he thanks his fans, supporters and people behind the scenes who have lifted him from obscurity into one of the most sought after Dubstep talents in the country. He further thanks his parents and family members for showing tremendous support and patience in the evolution of his career. But along with the message, Burial did us a huge favour and has finally posted a selfie! So finally after months of speculation and mystery, we have a good idea what Will looks like! Besides the selfie he also spoke about the apparent delay of some new tunes from his end as he’s working hard on ‘Dark Souls 2′. Rest assured, fans will not be disappointed as long as William keep those selfies coming!
