Remember the first time you heard the classic ‘Astronomia’ by Tony Igy? Probably at a party or a club where the tune caught your attention and sucked you right into it, not letting your mind go of it way after you heard it? This track was probably the back-ground music to most of 2012 party memories and for the same reason, the talented Vicetone duo picked this one up to give it a new rendition of their own.
Atronomia 2014 is Vicetone’s tribute to the eternal track for it gave them some wonderful memories to keep as well. The original, which offers a brilliantly crafted combination of a delicious bassline and playful synths, was made more grimy and punchy by the two DJs.
“We grew up with the original track in our high school days, and we have great memories that we associate with the melody. We wanted to give new life to the track and completely re-do the track so it can be played at festivals and in clubs, and also sound like the current generation sound”, they said.
If you think this isn’t enough of a goodie for us, then you’d be happy to know that Vicetone released the track for free download yesterday on one half of the duo, Victor’s birthday! Listen to Astronomia 2014 below and don’t forget to download it for free!
