Joshua Steele, better known by his professional name, Flux Pavilion is a bass wizard. If you’re in to the bass music scene and you haven’t heard of his talents, well then you just aren’t in to the bass music scene. This 24 year old has created some massive tracks that have rocked the dubstep world with all their original transitions and ability to completely melt your face off. He’s not only creating bass heavy wonder bombs, he adds his influences to other tracks, runs a label that features some of the best upcoming dubstep, drumstep and bass acts and also tours all over the world providing his audiences with the wobbles that they crave. Not only is this man a genius in the studio in between all the production equipment, he’s also a true musician that can play the guitar, the drums, saxophone, clarinet and fiddles with some keys as well. While introducing him in Flux’s episode of Diplo and Friends, Diplo says “he makes baroque dubstep music in my opinion, he just smashes the dance floors”.

Can't Stop

After the huge success of ‘I Can’t Stop’, there was literally no stopping Flux Pavilion. The next major release was ‘Bass Cannon’ which featured the ear piercing bass drop that drove us crazy for a good 3 months. The influx, no pun intended, of remixes for ‘Bass Cannon’ was insane. With so many different versions floating around, there was no way you could miss this track.

Currently Flux Pavilion runs Circus Records with Doctor P, which is fully equipped with a heavy arsenal of some of the biggest tracks and artists in the bass music scene. He also produced ‘Superbad’ with Doctor P which is one of our favourite Flux tracks to be released.

After all these ragers, we can’t afford to leave out ‘Jah No Partial’, a collaboration between Flux Pavilion and Major Lazer which rocked our world in 2013. A festival and club favourite that was an essential part of the amazing year that 2013 was.

Our friends at Oji brought us Skream and Benga, which was an unforgettable experience. Don’t miss out on an opportunity to see this bass heavy weight who is taking the genre into all sorts of places! For all you Flux fans and fans to be, incase you see him around don’t forget to flash his logo, oh just in case you don’t know how to do that, here’s a tutorial.

We also put together a playlist of some of his most ‘Bangin’ tracks. Listen to all of them and be prepared for the mass melting of faces to take place over the next two days in the Juhu Hotel and LAP.
