Nile Rodgers vs. Eats Everything – Do What You Wanna Do (IMS Anthem) (Eats Everything Haus Rework)

When lead guitarist and co-founder of the American band Chic, Nile Rodgers decided to collaborate with talented English producer Eats Everything, nobody could have anticipated the excitement that their efforts would bring! Besides becoming the anthem for the International Music Summit in Ibiza, Rodgers’ track “Do What You Wanna Do” enticed Eats Everything aka Daniel Pearce with the opportunity of spicing it up with his own rework to it.

Ever since then, labels have stepped up into what can be simply described as a bidding war so much so that the rights of the release had to be sold in an auction! Whats encouraging is that, the funds gathered through the release will go to a cancer charity seen after Nile Rodger’s himself. The track itself, is brilliantly re-crafted by the talented Englishman, who has taken it upon himself to be at the forefront of an emerging underground revolution.

Masked under the repressive vocals, the slow pacy build up leads to a delicious breakdown of beats and bass. With a basic 4 by 4 drum-loop infused, layers of synth circulate around the track as a pinching melody carry the track forward into its crescendo. This is surely the one-of-a-kind production work, that is sure to leave a lasting impression on your auditory senses! Check it out below!
