As Justin Bieber struggles to achieve a sexually charged image after his bad – boy phase, one can’t help but notice the themes of his songs are also changing. Gone are the baby blue troubles of his teen years, and now he tackles issues of a more sexual kind through his new collection entitled ‘Journals’. “Memphis” is certainly a special one and is the efforts of JB as well as Big Sean, being dropped before the albums release and produced by Diplo.

While this decision is certainly controversial, given Biebers reputation in the music world, the song can’t be insulted. Combining slow, sensual percussions with Justin Biebers new sexy persona, the song teeters between Justins pop roots and pure and simple RnB, making it a hard – to – hate track, and having the uncanny ability to sound melodic and terrifying at the same time. Love him or hate him for this collaboration, you have to admit, Diplo’s done a damn good job.
