‘Get Lucky‘, the first single from iconic duo, Daft Punk‘s remarkably successful fourth album, Random Access Memories has arguably been one of the biggest hits of the year and has been covered and remixed a countless number of times by a variety of artists across different spectrums of music.
However, when U2 frontman Bono and guitarist/backing vocalist, The Edge teamed up with the legendary, Nile Rodgers it led them to perform a special yet unlikely cover of the track. The performance formed a part of a special event arranged by one of Bono’s charity funds, and the £16 million that were collected during the evening shall be used to combat the fight against AIDS. Besides ‘Get lucky’, the eminent trio also performed covers of other hits like, ‘Perfect Day’ which was originally recorded by the recently deceased Lou Reed.
