Ben Klock dropped the Grandstand theme tune in Edinburgh over the weekend in response to a parody video of him that recently went super viral.
Towards the end of October, Being Boiled – a YouTube channel which subtly mocks the Boiler Room’s live stream series – posted a spoof clip of Klock playing the Grandstand song during a set at Boiler Room, Berlin.
This prompted Klock to actually play the theme at a gig at The Liquid Room last Saturday. A Facebook user which was in the booth at the time, took this video. His video clip shows the Scottish crowd singing along and a beaming Klock, who’s clearly having a laugh.
Brits will know this, but if you’re unsure, Grandstand was a popular sports show that ran on the BBC in the UK for nearly 50 years.
