Sunburn Mumbai is only a day away. In almost 24 hours we’ll be catapulted to a massive event, graced by the likes of superstar international DJs and some of the best homegrown talents. It is a 2 day dance music extravaganza which promises to be one of the biggest parties of the year in Mumbai, with acts like Fedde Le Grande, Orjan Nielsen, Adam Beyer, Showtek and Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike.

Surely the team at Sunburn have put in countless hours and unimaginable effort to make sure the event rolls out smoothly, but as we gear up for this massive dance-a-thon, here’s a list of few essentials that you need to keep in mind to ensure you get the most out of your Sunburn experience. Hit past the break to know what you need!

                                                                                           

     1. Stay Hydrated & Sun Safe!   

We cannot stress the importance of H2O. Water is one of the most basic yet most important of things that you’d require, especially since you’re going to be spending close to about almost 7 hours dancing. Water is essentially required to prevent yourself from getting dehydrated, especially since the rough Mumbai sun is going to be out till early evening. Also, don’t forget to carry sunblock, sunglasses, a hat and anything that protects you from the sun.

2. Curb Traffic, Share A Car!

Since there’s a massive turn out expected, there’s bound to be that much traffic. Plus parking is on a first come-first serve basis. All of these complications can be avoided by just sharing a car or a taxi! It saves pollution and besides a large part of the experience is sharing it with your friends, right from the start!

  3. Portable Phone Charger           

Clearly you’ll be using up a lot of battery shazaming tracks or taking photos & videos. Plus we all know that reception is a bust, so most of our battery dies trying to latch on to network. This is why this is a must, if you have one.

   4. Stay In Groups & Decide a Meeting Point 

There are tons of patrons, just like you, that are going to be at the festival. You can easily get lost if you wander away to another stage just to check out another act. With no cell phone reception, finding your friends could be a tedious task. That’s why always stay in groups, and if need be, use the buddy system and decide a rendezvous point, should you wander off.

    5. Get Orgnaised!

The line up this year is absolutely MAD! so obviously there’s going to be two of your favorite acts playing at the same time. We suggest you catch half of both sets. Two half sets are always better than missing out on one and regretting it! Plan out the acts you’re going to hit so you’re not wasting time by running around during the festival.

      6. Be Safe!     

Through all the revelry, your safety is highly important. There shall be first aid & medical centres throughout the venue so please approach them if required. Additionally, please drink responsibly and within your limits. DO NOT DRINK & DRIVE.  Drunk driving is just dangerous and is harmful not only to you, but everyone around you as well. Plus Cops will definitely be on the look out for drunk drivers after the event.

                     

 7. Comfort, Comfort, Comfort!   

You’re going to be dancing, and sweating for 7 straight hours on both days. Don’t forget you need to be comfortable through this. It’s a festival not a fashion show, so wear anything lose, flowey, and comfortable. Ladies, forget the heels, and opt for flats. Or better yet, sneakers!

                                                     

   8. Pace Yourself!      

You don’t want to go all in at the start! you’d get tired really soon and miss out on the rest of the event. Going too hard at the beginning can wear you out and ruin the next several hours. So pace yourself, spread out your enthusiasm, and take breaks!

                                           

    9. Dont Forget Your Tickets!       

Well, this one is pretty self explanatory. Be sure to carry your Sunburn Mumbai OR Bengaluru ticket along with a valid photo ID. You certainly wouldn’t want to be one to miss out on a festival of such a magnitude now would you?

                                          

  10. Happy mindset = happy time.  

This is probably the most important thing you’d need. As corny as it may sound, but if you make a promise to yourself that you’re going to have fun no matter what, you’ll definitely have a wonderful experience and one you’d never forget.
