One of Trinidad & Tobago’s most favourite electronic music artist, Jillionaire, took to Australian radio to announce that the next Major Lazer album should in all probability be done by the end of this year. After recently dropping Free The Universe, the individual members have been doing a great amount of work in their solo careers, and have had quite a heavy touring schedule, such that one would expect that the group may take a break. However it was revealed that, Diplo and the Black Chiney star, Walshy Fire in fact joined Jillionaire in their desire to continue writing and producing high quality music.
“We’ve had a crazy [touring] schedule” he said. Adding that, “I think we’ve been touring for the last 18 months. It’s been crazy, it’s been hectic, it’s been a lot of fun. I think that once this year shuts down we’re gonna pull it back in and do a lot less touring. Right now we’re going in to a bunch of writing sessions for the next album, and hopefully we’re gonna finish that off by the end of the year. It should be out sometime next year”.
This announcement has set of a spark and has got numerous fans worldwide, including us excited to check out what the trio have to offer with the upcoming album. Stay tuned to http://thebanginbeats.com for more on the news!
