Limitless Recordings Presents – Access [LP]

Limitless Recordings Access

It all started with a simple youtube channel, LiquidMusick. LiquidMusick is a platform for upcoming drum & bass talent to introduce their music to a bigger audience. In about two years, the channel gained more than 35 thousand subscribers and 6 million views. After actively working in the drum & bass scene and getting in touch with several upcoming talents. It was just a matter of time to take this project to the next step. Years of thinking and preparation went in this. And now it is finally here: Limitless Recordings.

Limitless Recordings is a brand new record label focusing on liquid/deep/soulful drum & bass. For their first release they gathered some exciting upcoming talents in the liquid drum and bass scene.  And for their first release they’ve really set a high standard in terms of quality drum & bass.

You may find some recognizable names, but only if you’re really into this alternative electronic genre. Most of them however, are newcomers, and this provides a beautiful platform for them to show off their talents.  Tranquility, Peace and calm resound from the moment you hit the play button, as each production tends to out do the previous one in so many ways. That’s what makes it so hard to choose one particular track that would stand out from this gorgeous liquid LP.

Starting from the soulful vocals on Hugh Hardie’s Tearing Me Apart. You find yourself lost to the deep bassline and surreal piano work with N4M3′s In The Midnight. Submatik’s Silent Stranger leaves a stark impression with Charli Brix’s profoundly ethereal vocals coupled with a bassline that’s really dark but still not overpowering enough to be the centre of attention to the song. It holds a wavering bass which drops in and out of a dynamic beat, percussion plucking throughout to give it a more complex layering. The NCT & Changing Faces Remix of Rain Beyond The Sun has a very groovy yet uplifting bass, which leaves you with a sense of calm and inner peace. Keeno’s Painted is another piano gem with hints of funk and a jazzy saxophone sample.  Dualistic’s Ecstatic In Access has got a wonderful trancy synth riff, coupled with a fast, in your face beat. It finally ends with Systemik’s DMT VIP, a slow paced, dark  production. It’s got all its elements working together to bring out a very dark vibe. Gloomy vocals, minimalistic samples, a light beat, and pensive paino work.

All in all, this is a wonderful LP for any Liquid D&B lovers out there. Really calm and ace production work. Limitless have really picked out the cream of the freshest talent to present this gem of a compilation to us, and you can buy it right here. Get your copy now!
