Nile Rodgers talks about working with David Guetta, Avicii, Adam Lambert and more on the red carpet at the 2013 MTV Video Music Awards on Sunday.  Seems to be that Nile has got the rest of his year and some of next lined up with smokin’ releases.

Rodgers appeared at the awards’ show with his “Get Lucky” brethren Daft Punk and Pharell, and confirmed with Billboard that he may get on the road with the latter at some point. “Something might happen,” he said.

But in the immediate past and future, Rodgers who by-the-way has also beaten back prostate cancer this year is working with some of the biggest names in pop and dance, including Avicii and David Guetta.

“The guy I’m working with mostly right now is Avicii. We’ve cut like six records together and we’ve got the new record with Adam Lambert. We just cut three records last week. My God, David Guetta! I’ve already done two tracks with [him]. And some more underground stuff with Tensnake, Chace & Status.”

He added, rightly: “It’s a good year for me and dance music.”

Earlier, DJ Cassidy hinted strongly that Rodgers is also involved with his long-in-the works project of uniting “the most legendary musicians from the late 70s and early 80s back in one room for the first time in over 30 years to recreate the sound of their era.” He said that “perhaps” Rodgers and Earth, Wind & Fire along with Kool & the Gang are involved.
