Ilan Bluestone & Jerome Isma-Ae – Under My Skin (Original Mix)

Ilan Bluestone & Jerome Isma-Ae – Under My Skin (Original Mix)

Ilan Bluestone blew everyone’s mind off with his single ‘Sinai’ and it seems there’s no way stopping him. Already played on Above & Beyond’s Group Therapy radio show as the ‘Record of the Week’, this massive tune has received a lot of interest already. Two masters of their own game ilan Bluestone and German producerJerome Isma-Ae collaborated to produce this simple yet uplifting masterpiece. Also supported by Armin van Buuren on his A State of Trance radio show, it’s a hybrid of progressive house meeting trance with bouncy construction that builds the thrill continuously.

As soon as the track kicks off, it starts off with a very funk-ish vibe. Ilan Bluestone seems to have elongated the build up on purpose, and we’re not complaining. It seems as though he intentionally tantalises you with the multi-layered synth and piano riff and the breakdown, and to that he’s added a phasered pick up, just to keep you right on the edge, begging for a drop.  And then BAM! He kills you with the euphorically intense drop that is much more than what you’d expect. With an uplifting tubular chord progression, it’s the sheer tone of it that crawls “Under Your Skin”. Just when you’re about to have your fill with it, he brings back a second break down. That’s when you know, you’re back on this roller coaster of a ride once again.

A highly unpredictable ID from Above & Beyond’s Ultra Festival set, “Under My Skin”, is out on Anjunabeats label.
