Already back in form with his recent singles “Six Zero Zero” and “Cheeky”, the ‘Headliner Boy’ is up with a very unusual chill out track ‘Apollo’. Although the title has been used by other dance music artists already, this production is really impressive and unlike anything we’ve ever heard from Jorn Van Deynhoven. The beginning are samples of transmissions from the famous Apollo mission to the moon, fading as the song progresses. By the time you reach the halfway point, you will be lost in a train of your own thoughts. At the intro, a slight synth riff fades into the song, slowly progressing to an overpoweringly beautiful piano riff, with crystal stabs keeping the tempo.
As this ingenious production builds up, the amazing off beat percussion and dream-like synth will have you explore sentiments and emotions like never before. Unlike JVD’s usual productions, this will definitely touch you on a deeper level with it’s uplifting tune.
Though no release date has been announced, JvD has uploaded this to his soundcloud page, to gauge public opinion. One thing’s for sure, we love this softer, deeper side of his. Check out the preview here:
