Axwell has produced single ‘Falling (Committed To Sparkle Motion)’ from Scottish Indie Band Discopolis and as you may have guessed, the title is inspired by cult classic Donnie Darko. The upcoming EP for this single comes in a double A-side release with the original version by Discopolis and Axwell‘s mix of the same. Axwell first heard the Scottish band when their debut single ‘Lofty Ambitions’ was play listed on BBC introducing and it was through that playlist the guys made their festival debut playing the Introducing stage at Reading and Leeds. They have received extensive Radio 1 support from BBC introducing plus plays from Nick Grimshaw, Pete Tong and Rob da Bank.

In his words “Discopolis – Falling, Axwell’s mix. Sounded brilliant, interesting to see how the Swedes are branching out and what their first movements are following the dismantling of that trio. You got Axwell, moving into the big radio records world with a massive mix of Discopolis, it sounded huge I thought.”

The DubVision remix of ‘Falling (Committed To Sparkle Motion)‘ had a successful release last year and was a mainstay throughout the Swedish House Mafia one last tour and has also been supported by Tiesto, David Guetta, Nicky Romero, Avicii, gaining over 400,000 plays on YouTube to date.

This is not the first time Axtone have released something from this ‘world’, having released a remix of Miike Snow in 2012. Axwell himself has long been associated with remixing bands, including Coldplay, Temper Trap and Hard Fi to name a few. The four track ‘Falling (Committed To Sparkle Motion)’ – EP will be released on May 5th via Axtone Records only.
