After accompanying his two other comrades in successfully running Swedish House Mafia‘s ‘One Last Tour’, Axwell is back with another huge event, and where other than Stockholm, his hometown, would such an event be paid as much justice as it should. Playing to over a million fans, yes – a million, as part of the trio Swedish House Mafia (out of which Stockholm constituted 105,000 fans), Axwell is glad to return to his hometown to perform at an event like no other.
‘Where’s The Party?’ by Carlsberg is not a new campaign to Axwell at all. Being a pioneer of this campaign for years now, Axwell plans to return to it, with a bang! Axwell will play at the Swedish Maritime Museum in Stockholm on August 31st to a crowd of 9000 people. This will be the first time that the Swedish Maritime Museum will be converted into a gigantic nightclub space, in lieu of the event Axwell is to play.
Axwell had the following to say about the event,
”I am really happy to announce my return to Stockholm. After Friends Arena I felt the next event I played when I returned to Sweden as a solo artist had to be something that really went next level and demonstrated much of what I have learned makes a great show while I have been on the road all over the world. The Maritime Museum and the river that flows by it as a setting will provide one of the most beautiful backdrops for a show I could imagine and the fact that we will playing in an open sided Marquee brings us all so close together to share this incredible one off experience, to celebrate the summer and to celebrate my home town”
In addition to the campaign, Axwell has also announced that he will dishing out a brand new track as part of the campaign and we can expect it around May. It doesn’t stop there, he is also expected to announce a huge Ibiza announcement in the coming week. Till then, stay tuned for more.
