Shermanology & R3hab – Living For The City

After lending in their vocals to one of the tracks of this year “Can’t Stop Me Now”, the team of Shermanology is back with another collaboration with the one and only dirty dutch sensation R3hab.
It’s been a quite a year for R3hab as well and looks like he has already come a long way after giving us massive remixes of tracks like “Give Me Everything”, “Sending My Love” and “I Don’t Like You” in the past couple of months. In this track we see him sticking to his super awesome chainsaw madness style of beats.
However, the searing beat given by R3hab rests comprehensibly on the lofty lyrics of Dorothy Sherman who once again highlights her vocal versatility. She provides the chic spin to R3hab’s chainsaw madness and there lays the outstanding work carried out by these two teams.
This track also brings up another significant point in today’s EDM crazy scene. After having so many super talented vocalists like Wynter Gordon, Amy Person and John Martin in the market today, there is no reason why a DJ should not bring them on board for a vocal version for any of their mind-blowing tunes. Since mainstream is already filling up the EDM scene, this formula has been a huge success and will surely be a roadmap for future artists down the road.
“Living For The City” caps of a remarkable year for the Shermanology team and confirms their status as collaborative vocal giants in the EDM scene. It’s released under the Wall Recordings label and is out on Beatport today.
Any fan that is in the NYC area is in for a treat as she along with the entire JACKED crew (including their mentor Afrojack) will be hosting a massive party on New Years Eve at Pier 94!
