Green Velvet – Bigger Than Prince (Hot Since 82 Remix) [Preview]

Green Velvet – Bigger Than Prince (Hot Since 82 Remix) [Preview]

Hailing from Yorkshire, Hot Since 82 seems to be the perfect deep/tech house idol. His signature bass-driven sound has taken over dance floors all over the world since quite a while now. This time, he takes on tech veteran Green Velvet’s Bigger Than Prince. Transforming this tune into a decent dancefloor tune, the vocals of Bigger Than Prince are a little odd, but nonetheless, Hot Since 82 has done a fabulous job, as always. The remix package will also include a remake from The Martinez Brothers. No word of a release date yet on Circus Recordings but you can listen to the preview below:

hot-since-82-little-black-book

Hot Since 82 might seem like a peculiar name for a producer/DJ, but his music is no where close to being peculiar. True to their name, they definitely have been hot since a very long time especially with the release of their LP ‘Little Black Book’ .

Daley Padley, better known as Hot Since 82, released his debut LP on Moda Black/Ultra Music. Being supported by the likes of Seth Troxler, Pete Tong, and Richie Hawtin is nothing short of an achievement, but this man has single handedly gathered a lot of attention from fans and DJs alike. With Little Black Book, he explores his deep house roots providing listeners with an album, mix compilation, and remix package, each compacted into one LP.

Nicky Romero, Sunnery James & Ryan Marciano ft. Fast Eddie – Sound of the Underground (Original Mix)

Nicky-Romero-Sunnery-James-Ryan-Marciano-ft.-Fast-Eddie-S.O.T.U.-500x500

If you’ve been following the electronic music scene for the past few years, this collaboration is sure to raise your eyebrows. After smash hits “Legacy” and “Symphonica”, Nicky Romero teams up with Sunnery James & Ryan Marciano who are fresh off of their huge collaboration with Dubvision “Triton” to produce “Sound of the Underground”.

This tack takes both acts to the more tribal and percussive side of big room house without being too clichéd. It brings back memories of Nicky’s breakout remix of Green Velvet’s “Flash” and as well as his previous release of 2013, “Still The Same Man”.

Utilizing the ever-ubiquitous tribal/percussive staccato style of drop, the goal of this track is to be a dance floor rager, and boy does it succeed.  Be sure to add this to your playlist right away.

The second day of Tomorrowland 2013 hosted a number of special stages, featuring some of the best dance music artists. There was the Cocoon heroes stage, a Full On Ferry stage for trance fanatics, a special V-Sessions stage, the Q-Dance stage still going strong, and of course the stunning volcano inspired ‘Main Stage’.
