What a night it was for the music industry at this year’s Grammy Awards! While we were treated to exceptional performances by the likes of Adele, Beyonce, Bruno Mars, the 59th edition of the long running Awards ceremony saw the “Hello” hit maker bag five awards alongside the late David Bowie who also picked up the same number of awards for his twenty fifth studio album, “Blackstar“.
And now as we shift our focus towards the World Music category, Indian tabla player Sandeep Das won an elusive Grammy Award as part of the Silk Road Ensemble for their latest album ‘Sing Me Home‘. A musical collective formed by American-Chinese musician Yo-Yo Ma,the group consists of artists from different backgrounds and cultures who join hands to work on music together.
