Stereosonic Confirms The Festival Is Cancelled For 2016, But Will Return In 2017

Stereosonic Confirms Hiatus For 2016, Set To Return In 2017

Ever since Sydney’s newspaper The Daily Telegraph reported (behind a paywall) that Stereosonic might have been permanently cancelled, the news has become one of the most talked subject in the dance music community.

The Daily Telegraph reported that Totem OneLove and SFX decided to cancel the festival after the death of two festival goers last year. However, the paper couldn’t get an official quote from both Totem OneLove, with the festival’s founder Frank Cotela saying “I just don’t know what is going on there at Stereosonic.”

However, Stereosonic have taken to their social media channels to update fans about the current situation of the festival, confirming that it wouldn’t take place in 2016, but would return in 2017, in a bigger and better capacity.
