English singer and song writer Ellie Goulding, who’s best known in the dance music realm for her collaborations with Calvin Harris, Major Lazer, Zedd amongst others has announced that she’s quitting music, at least for a year.
The shocking revelation came in an exclusive interview with British daily The Sun, where Goulding opened up about her breakup with her boyfriend Dougie Poynter.
I’m not in a relationship any more and that’s been hard. Having a break will be a good thing for me and my head.
I’m not writing new stuff. I’m not sure when I’ll release a new album. It might not even be next year. I need time off for my own head.
Next year I need to live a bit. Who knows? My situation has changed.
The ‘Love Me Like You Do‘ singer is currently on her Delirium world tour, and will take out time for herself once the world tour comes to an end in October.
