Above & Beyond feat. Zoë Johnston – We Are All We Need (Praveen Achary Remix)

Having opened for the British trance trio at the launch of their Group Therapy radio show in Bangalore, our homegrown talent Praveen Achary already shares a distinctive connection with Above & Beyond and certainly their beautiful flawless music. The bonding strengthened even more lately when the Juicebox Radio host was asked to remix the trance trio’s hit single and the title track of their latest studio album ‘We Are All We Need’. A definite surprise for his fans as well as Above & Beyond’s, the preview of his deep and groovy version of ‘We Are All We Need’ literally broke the internet leaving many speechless. I’ve always loved Zoë Johnston’s voice on Above & Beyond’s music, most notably “No One on Earth” and “Good For Me”. When the opportunity came to remix them, I had to go with the title track of the album – “We Are All We Need”. With my interpretation, I aimed to maintain the mix-bag of emotions that comes from the lyrics, infusing it in the music as well. After all, it’s always nice to have someone through the thick & thin.

With a subtle deep bass line, impeccable grooves and slender hint of Johnston’s vocals floating in the background, Praveen’s version graduates in tender fashion to the breakdown where the main part of the original shines characteristically and gives goosebumps from toe-to-head. Surefire to hold a permanent spot in many deep house or warm-up sets for a long time around the world, the full version of Praveen Achary’s remix of Above & Beyond’s ‘We Are All We Need’ has been released and can now be bought off iTunes.
