A while back, American Idol judge, Simon Cowell had jumped into the ‘Lets bring EDM on television somehow’ band wagon and hadn’t decided to give up even though he got close to no support (and a few dejections) on that idea. Today however, the man has bagged a platform for his DJ competition show that will be called ‘Ultimate DJ’ and will air sometime in 2015.
Cowell has ignored all the ‘nay’s to the idea of televising a reality show which stages a quest for competitors to fight for the title of the “Ultimate DJ’, and found an online platform for the series to be aired on. Yahoo Screen, a new media and entertainment venture by Yahoo! will be airing the show weekly, beginning some time this year. Although, the TV sets will be spared from the show for now.
Could Ultimate DJ appease the audience it plans to target? Until now, the views have been swinging towards a no, including a few strongly denouncing ones from iconic DJ Fatboy Slim who was approached to join the crew by Cowell earlier
