The year end always sees a lot of lists – Top 10’s, Top 50’s, Top 100’s, featuring the best tracks of the year. This year is no different, with numerous websites and radio stations releasing their lists. Triple J, one of the biggest radio stations in Australia, is widely known for its Hottest 100 list, especially in Australia, with a new theme song every year to go with the list.
But what makes this year so different? Triple J decided to go all out and do something BIG! They roped in 40 artists, namely Lorde, Skrillex, Flume, Diclosure, Peking Duk, Courtney Barnett, Angus & Julia Stone, Hilltop Hoods, Vance Joy, Illy and The Presets. Now, you must be wondering that is one hell of a collaborative theme song, and extremely curious to hear what it sounds like. Right?
