Preview: Moby and Darth & Vader – Death Star EP (Original + Remixes)

One of Electronic Music’s Greatest pioneers, Moby, returns to the studio, this time with a electro edge in mind, as he explores the dark terrains of the Club Music realm with his new collaboration with Brazilian upcoming sensation Darth & Vader. Their new collaboration is interestingly called ‘Death Star‘, giving a nod towards the adored Stars Wars Movie Franchise. Moby, real name Richard Melville Hall, surprise collab with this young electro house producer Darth & Vader, real name Hugo Castellan, calls for an exciting time forward where we see veterans and prodigies come together in the studio to give a perfect semblance of old and new. With an exclusive EP featuring the original and remixes from the likes of Tristan Garner & Tom Piper with Rob Pix, the package is being released by Dim Mak records.

The original delves on a dark atmosphere, as orchestral chains and eerie vocals spell destruction with psycho-infused shrieks, before an all explosive breakdown with haunting synth grooves and big bad bass drops promises chaos all over the dancefloor. The remix from Tristan Garner, takes the track into another musical realm with a breakbeat advent, taking the original melody and transforming it through destructive guitar riffs and side-stepping drum grooves. Hard hitting dubstep breaks with a futuristic sound palette offer plenty of thought-provoking and hip-shaking bliss onto the track.
