The Chainsmokers, accountable for spreading the “selfie” craze like wild-fire in every nuke and corner of the world, just got a lot more to celebrate!
The New York based DJ duo consisting of Alex Pall and Drew Taggart have their success chart peaking as they sign two deals rounding off to a whopping million dollars each. The first one is a publishing contract with Sony/ATV whose chairman/CEO Martin Bandier stated that they had been keeping an eye on the EDM industry for some months but never expected the duo’s single #SELFIE to break the records like it did. The second one is a record deal with the well renowned Republic Records, for which the duo will start producing as their 3-track contract with Dim Mak Records terminates.
Also, #SELFIE, a song that started off as a ‘joke’ to promote their show at Miami’s Liv, now has a 100 million views on YouTube. The Chainsmokers sure have been seeing a lot of seven figures lately! We hope that they keep the ball rolling with their one of a kind music releases and give us something to look forward to.
