Remember how we shared the first look of the official Electric Daisy Carnival movie ‘Under the Electric Sky’ as it was premiered at Sundance Film Festival back in January? It was a historic evening for EDM, as it merged visual and performance arts in a heart-warming documentary of one of the largest festivals of the summer. And now, Pasquale Rotella, CEO of Insomniac Events, which has been producing Electric Daisy Carnival events since 1997, is now inviting fans of the music festival and genre as the enigmatic documentary will see a wide release across theaters in the US – in 3D!
The film documents the Electric Daisy Carnival’s 2013 incarnation in Las Vegas, showcasing the stories of individual attendees, as well as behind-the-scenes festival footage and exclusive interviews with artists and Rotella. While the film was directed by Dan Cutforth and Jane Lipsitz, it features an original score by none other than music-magician Kaskade. The historic film has just seen the release of its Official Trailer – a 2-minute sneak-peak into the madness that unfolded at Vegas in the summer of 2013, and from the looks of it, it certainly looks magical!
