Deadmau5 takes Amit Duvdevani of Infected Mushroom on his latest ‘Coffee Run’
Having given up control of his own Twitter account and handing its control over to his ‘team’, Joel Zimmerman aka Deadmau5 is still keeping his umpteen number of fans hooked, making those highly anticipated coffee runs that we all have come to love!
As part of his latest episode, Joel invites Amit Duvdevani of Infected Mushroom along with him once he finally manages to get out of the parking lot. This chat between the two luminaries of electronic music incorporates a wide array of topics including the Israeli and Canadian culture, their choice of donuts, how Duvdevani prefers his coffee, the impending closure of the Roseland Ballroom amongst other things.
As the conversation proceeds, it is also learned that Amit is not impressed with the famous Philly cheesesteak with Joel agreeing that you can get the same variety of cheeseteak in your hotel room, anywhere.

Infected Mushroom – ‘Friends on Mushroom’ EP.
The Psytrance progenitors, Infected Mushroom are back with their top snotch ‘winter tour’ , EP ”Friends on Mushroom Vol.1′ is full on kink . It was released on January 22nd of Aoki’s influential records ‘Dim Mak‘.
The EP features massive collabs by fellow Israelis Hope 6 and Astrix and includes more of sonic territory including dub reggae, moombahton and electro house.
‘Where Do I Belong’/Hope 6 – has an instantly recognisable dubby- bass- reggae tune sounding nothing like moombahton but more relevant.
‘Bass Nipple’ – Is very different to the first track and is exactly what you’d expect from an electro track injected with mind melting grimy bass.
‘Astrix On Shrooms’/Astrix – focuses on Psy-trance elements what Infected Mushrooms have been renowned for. It sounds like “Mambacore” with darker tempo kicks.
The entire EP reflects Infected Mushroom’s playful skills on experimenting with different genres and proves that the Infected skill will never change.
