The ninth studio album by Miley Cyrus, titled Something Beautiful, is set to release at the month’s end. She has now unveiled a new single from this album called “More to Lose,” which follows earlier releases including “Prelude,” “Something Beautiful,” and “End of the World.” The creation of this latest track was a collaborative effort between Cyrus, Autumn Rowe, and Michael Pollack, with Cyrus also co-directing the music video alongside Jacob Bixenman and Brendan Walter. You can watch the video below.
Cyrus also took on the role of co-producer for “More to Lose” along with Pollack, BJ Burton, Shawn Everett, and Jonathan Rado from Foxygen. The song features performances from renowned bassist Pino Palladino and multi-instrumentalist Drew Erickson, among others.
Something Beautiful serves as the sequel to Cyrus’s 2023 album Endless Summer Vacation and is scheduled for release on May 30 through Columbia Records. A companion movie, also directed by Cyrus, Bixenman, and Walter, is set to premiere in theaters in June. Cyrus has previously likened Something Beautiful to Pink Floyd’s The Wall, stating that it would be “like a more glamorous version with a better wardrobe and laden with pop culture.”
