Berlin has a always been ahead of the rest when it comes to reinventing the wheel with techno acts. One of the most iconic and subversive things done by the people of the city is setting up clubs in basements of previously abandoned buildings. The owner of one such iconic club, Tresor, has announced the next major project: setting up a museum dedicated to techno.
Dimitri Hegemann is a legendary figure in the field of techno having already played a hand in establishing the legendary club and also label featuring releases from talents such as Juan Atkins and Jeff Mills. Although the project has been touted as a museum, it will contain archives of techno to enlighten and educate on the subject. The museum will help the tourist influx to the city looking to experience the artistic subculture.
