Avicii‘s decision to retire from touring took us all by surprise. The statement, made by the Swedish producer yesterday, confirmed that 2016 would be the last year for fans to catch him live. While his fans were left devastated, a number of fellow DJs took to Twitter to support his decision.
Nothing but love & respect for @Avicii who has been pushing musical boundaries and inspired many of us. Live your life my brother <3

And then, there was Deadmau5’s reaction.
.@avichie Best of luck on the retirement with the music career stuff. I've tried twice. It's not like quitting a fuckin dayjob.
