This past weekend, Houston-based producer Ape Drums played out an unreleased track by Major Lazer. Given the meteoric success the dancehall trio has achieved in the past one year which goes without saying, the Diplo-spearheaded project has its eyes set on 2016.
While their music is deep rooted in dancehall, the latest ID to surface is rather unorthodox which takes on Jersey Club influences into its foray. Merely 30 seconds long, the fan recorded clip is built up of heavy kicks and a repetitive lead which is further set to increase the fans’ expectations. As always, the Mad Decent boss stays quick to discover and employ new sounds, and who knows, this might just be the game-changer for 2016.
