MATTN & Futuristic Polar Bears - Café Del Mar 2016 (Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike vs Klaas Edit)

The 1993 Trance classic by Energy 52Cafe del Mar” has been one of the most heard Trance tracks ever. In 2001, this track was voted no. 1  on Mixmag’s “100 Best Tunes Ever” list and In 2011, it was voted number 1 in the “Top 20 Dance Tracks of Last 20 Years” users poll by listeners of BBC Radio 1. This classic has been brought back to life from time to time after the release. The recent one was by Paul Oakenfold in 2014 and it’s been quite some time since then.

Right on time, the beautiful and talented MATTN and the UK trio, Futuristic Polar Bears have recently brought this gem back with the modern Progressive House style and Smash The House bosses Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike lent their festival ready touch to this amazing makeover. Once you combine forces this great, the result is bound to be impressive. The release sits at no. 6 on Beatport overall top 10!

But the artists don’t want to stop here. This easily recognisable tune with its arpeggiating trance synths and a series of dynamic build-ups and powerful drops is now released with a vocal mix. The debut release of MATTN and Futuristic Polar Bears on Smash The House gets a sampled touch in the style of Martin Luther King‘s well-known public speech from 1963. The subject of racism is replaced with the discrimination on the basis of what kind of electronic music people like. With the hope of uniting people irrespective of what subgenre of EDM they like, either underground or mainstream, the vocals are adding a whole new flavour to this track!

You can listen to the vocal mix of MATTN, Futuristic Polar Bears, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike‘s 2016 remake of “Cafe del Mar” exclusively on Apple Music and Spotify from here. The track is set to release via Smash The House on April 4 and you can pre-order your copy on iTunes from here. Stram this excellent remake below!
