After giving a mesmerizing progressive ride on Return, the French DJ and producer Arno Cost is back with a two-track EP named “Coming Alive“. As described by Protocol Recordings, this EP comes as the results of Arno Cost’s experiments with stricter House and Progressive House styles. With two tracks “1000 Suns” and the title “Coming Alive“, the Parisian wunderkind gives the taste of his explorations.
Filled with piano-infused synths and euphoric vocals, “1000 Suns” builds with gradual filter sweeps. Portraying the exact style that Protocol releases, the energetic drop booms a powerful bassline while the bouncy lead synth keeps sliding through the notes of the melody. Featuring the lush vocals of the British singer and producer, River, the title track “Coming Alive” will take you to a gray territory between House and Progressive with arpeggiating guitar notes and cool piano chords. Amazing lead melody and vocal chops on the drop will surely move your body.
Already supported by the likes of Don Diablo, Nicky Romero, Bobina, Florian Picasso and Swanky Tunes, this EP surely shows Arno Cost‘s shift from his groovy style. Arno Cost‘s Coming Alive EP is out now via Protocol Recordings and you can grab your copy on Beatport from here. Stream it below!
