What A Time To Be Alive! Not going into the details yet again, we all know how colossal 2015 was for Major Lazer. In between smashing charts worldwide with their massive pop crossover collaborative single “Lean On” with DJ Snake & MØ and touring the globe extensively, the dancehall trio are now officially part of the 21st century pop culture. And if releasing their highly acclaimed album Peace Is The Mission, being part of Youtube’s Billion View Club, hosting their own Beats 1 Show ‘Lazer Sound’, and boasting of being the producers of Spotify’s most streamed track globally amongst other innumerable achievements didn’t feel like a handful, the trio and the French mastermind have gone on to give the 2015 original a VIP treatment.
Coming fresh off their recently concluded Mad Decent Block Party Tour in India, it seems like the hitmakers are just getting started. In a recent video upload, Major Lazer promised big things for the fans and teased an unreleased VIP mix of their undeniable hit. Shifting away from its original pop appeal, the rework goes hard. The audio sees the original buildup with a smart addition featuring hype vocals from Jack Ü‘s track “Jungle Bae” and progresses with the tempo hitting up a notch before blowing up in enormous fashion with heavy siren work and a whole lot of bass.
With an upcoming album “Music Is The Weapon” due this year alongside their latest “Lean On” VIP, Major Lazer have their eyes set on 2016. Till then, check out the teaser below!
